Tour Overview
Suggested Duration: 4-5 Days
Scotland is home to more than a hundred whisky distilleries, spread across distinctive regions including Speyside, the Highlands, Islay, Campbeltown and the Lowlands. A private whisky tour provides the opportunity to explore these regions at a pace that suits you, with distillery visits and tastings combined with the landscapes, history and character of Scotland.
For a first whisky journey, our Classic Scotland Whisky Tour combines the Highlands and Speyside, with visits to renowned distilleries alongside some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery. For those who want whisky to be the main focus, a Speyside Whisky Tour allows more time to explore the region’s exceptional concentration of distilleries. For lovers of smoky and peated malts, an Islay Whisky Tour offers a very different experience on Scotland’s famous whisky island.
For experienced whisky enthusiasts, we can also create a Specialist Whisky Journey focused on particular distilleries, regions, styles or experiences, combining several parts of Scotland where appropriate.

Planning Your Distillery Visits
Distillery visits are an important part of your Scotland Whisky Tour, but each distillery operates its own opening hours, tour schedules and tasting experiences. Many visits need to be booked in advance.
We take these arrangements into account when planning your journey, building the itinerary around the distilleries and experiences you would most like to include. If a particular distillery is unavailable on your dates, we can recommend suitable alternatives that fit your interests and route.
Why Travel with MyUKtour?
A great whisky tour is about knowing which distilleries are worth visiting, how to combine them into a sensible route, and allowing enough time to enjoy each experience. We bring that knowledge together with private touring throughout Scotland, creating journeys that work as well on the road as they do at the distillery.
- Knowledge of Scotland’s Whisky Country - We know the principal whisky regions and the distilleries within them, from Speyside and the Highlands to Islay and Campbeltown, and can recommend routes that make sense geographically as well as for the whisky itself.
- Expert Chauffeur-Guide - Travel with an experienced local professional who combines driving with knowledgeable guiding, allowing you to enjoy Scotland without worrying about the roads or logistics.
- Well Planned Distillery Visits – We plan the route around your chosen distilleries and their scheduled visits and tastings, making sure the overall journey works rather than simply trying to fit in as many stops as possible.
- Whisky & Scotland – Your tour isn't confined to distilleries. We combine whisky experiences with Scotland's landscapes, historic sites, castles, towns and local character to create a complete journey.
