Discover Classic London

A full-day private guided day tour of London, that includes guided tours of Westminster Abbey, and the Tower of London.

Starting with a private tour of Westminster Abbey, the burial place of kings and queens of England, and the site of their coronations and marriages. Enjoy the splendour of the Changing of the Guard, performed by the guardsmen of the Household Division, with the background of Buckingham Palace and the Mall.

Your professional guide will be on hand to put each location and event into context, given the many centuries of interwoven history at hand.

From the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, travel eastwards to St. Paul’s Cathedral, with its magnificent dome. We now easily arrive at the Tower of London, first built by the conquering Normans in the 11th century. The Tower of London has a notorious past. Used as a prison and place of execution for high-placed individuals considered traitors or just inconvenient, such as Anne Boleyn, Thomas Cromwell and the unfortunate ‘Princes in the Tower’. It is now home to the beautiful display of Crown Jewels and guarded by the Yeomen of the Guard.

There will be plenty of opportunity to stop off for lunch at a traditional pub, and time permitting, afternoon tea.  Just let us know if there is something specific you want to see or do, and we will make sure to make it a priority in your itinerary.

The skyline of battlements, turrets and the great Round Tower is instantly recognisable, providing a marvellous backdrop to Royal Pageantry, the final resting place of Kings and Queens.

There may be time for a spot of souvenir or antique shopping as we make our way through Eton village, passing the famous school. Our final stop is at Runnymede which bore witness to the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215 on route home.

Your day starts at the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studios. Home to The Harry Potter film series that were produced here for more than ten years.  The production crew saved many of the iconic sets, props and costumes that were created especially for the films just in case they were ever needed later on in the series.

With the final film completed, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2010, the production crew were left with a horde of thousands of intricate and beautifully-made set props, many of which would not have been saved on a typical production.

These iconic props, costumes and sets have been preserved so that Harry Potter fans could experience the magic of filmmaking first-hand.

Set adjacent to the working film studios where all eight Harry Potter films were made, the Studio Tour offers visitors the unique opportunity to explore two soundstages and a backlot filled with original sets, animatronic creatures and breathtaking special effects.

Experience for yourself the challenges the filmmakers faced to recreate the books for the big screen. Witness the Great Hall, Dumbledore’s Office, The Knight Bus and the set of the Ministry of Magic.

After lunch, we return to London to tour some of the most famous landmarks associated with the films. Visit Leaky Cauldron, the railway platform for Hogwarts, Gringotts Bank, the Ministry of Magic and many more.
