Outline Itinerary

Day 1

Leave London to visit mystical Stonehenge and then the ancient Roman Baths and Georgian splendour of Royal Bath. 

Day 2:

Travel through Somerset to Glastonbury and its Tor. Visit England's oldest gothic cathedral at Wells, and the outstanding Bishop's Palace and Gardens.

Day 3:

Tour along the south Devon coast or 'English Riviera', visiting the fishing port of Brixham and Plymouth from where the Mayflower sailed.

Day 4:

Follow the coast south through the old Cornish fishing villages of Looe and Polperro. Stop and experience the Eden Project. Continue along the Roseland Heritage coast to St.Mawes.

Day 5

Stroll through Falmouth and its picturesque harbour. Travel down the Lizard Peninsula to the most southerly part of the UK along the Lizard Peninsula to Lizard Point.

Day 7:

This morning visit St.Ives and the north coast, stopping at St. Agnes Head. Continue to the town of Bodmin and Bodmin Moor.

Day 9:

Set out on your return journey, travelling along the Jurassic coast of Devon and Dorset. Stop in Lyme Regis, a historic seaside town at the heart of the Jurassic Coast. Visit Durdle Door at the end of the coastal route.

Day 6:

Spend the morning exploring Penzance and the famous tidal island of St.Michael's Mount. Explore the fishing village of Mousehole, and the open air Minack Theatre, before arriving at Land's End.

Day 8:

Spend the morning exploring the legendary early-medieval Tintagel Castle, and its magnificent coastline views. Continue to Cotehele, a charming Tudor house with beautiful gardens located in the Tamar Valley. Spend the rest of the day exploring the rugged beauty of Dartmoor.

Day 10:

Spend the morning touring the ancient New Forest, which contains the largest area of lowland heath in southern England, a rare habitat that once covered this part of the country. later in the day make your way back to London.
